Biotechnology is mired with not only ethical issues but also legal issues; some may stem from either ethical or social conflict. Therefore, it is important for the socio-economic growth of this industry, including innovations, that the legal and regulatory framework is also addressed. We aim to look at the legal framework and guidelines that regulate biotechnology and innovations.

In this area, we will not only monitor, engage in, and research policy issues regarding the biotechnology industry and innovations, but we will also address some of the less obvious but extremely important consequential factors, specifically those that affect our society and may hinder economic growth, and generate solutions and innovative ideas. Moreover, we will also include policy or legal discussions, advocacy, and ‘training’ to help establish a conducive biotechnology and innovation environment.
